The Pharmacy Technology program provides students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required of a technician in either community or hospital pharmacy settings. This certificate program offers a comprehensive curriculum of didactic as well as hands-on training in prescription filling, inventory packaging, patient profiling, sterile products preparation, and pharmacy calculations.<br>Northwest Vista College is accredited for pharmacy technician training by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). All ASHP accredited programs have requirements of a student screening and selection process and an external learning experience (Internship/Practicum) of at least 120 hours.
