Three (3) Letters of Recommendation - You will be given the opportunity to list the name, position, organization and email address for three recommenders when you complete the application. After you submit your application and pay your application fee, emails will be sent to your recommenders directing them to a website where they may upload their letters.
Official Transcripts
You must provide an official transcript from every senior college you have attended. Even if courses taken at one institution are recorded on another college's transcript, transcripts must be submitted from the institution at which the courses were taken.
For the purposes of applying to UT Austin, you have two options:
Order an official paper transcript from your registrar's office. Scan and upload a copy of the official paper transcript to the Document Upload System in MyStatus.
Order an official electronic transcript. The electronic copy can be uploaded via the Document Upload System as well, but it must not be encrypted or password protected. We accept electronic transcripts from SPEEDE or Parchment only.
Statement of Purpose
A detailed resume/CV is required for all applicants. Resumes/CVs may include a summary of your education, research experiences and interests, professional affiliations, honors, awards, fellowships and scholarships, relevant professional or volunteer experience, publications, conference presentations, and academic or university service.
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination

The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy operates longstanding and well-developed graduate training programs in pharmaceutical sciences and translational sciences. The goal of graduate study at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy is to develop the intellectual breadth and specialized training necessary for a career in teaching, research or advanced professional practice. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge, methods and skills needed for scholarly teaching, original research and problem solving, intellectual leadership, creative expression, and professional prominence and recognition. We are committed to eliminating disparities, raising awareness and fostering a culture where everyone has equal opportunities and a sense of belonging in our graduate training program.<br>Pharmaceutical Science is an interdisciplinary field that includes areas of study in chemical biology and medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacotherapy, and health outcomes. Students applying to the graduate program in pharmaceutical sciences will select a division-specific training track that most closely matches their interests. The University of Texas College of Pharmacy offers a Ph.D. program with specialization in each of these areas of pharmaceutical sciences and a M.S. degree program that is limited to the pharmacotherapy and health outcomes areas of research.<br>The mission of the Division of Pharmacotherapy is to train and educate student pharmacists, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows to provide specialty pharmacotherapeutic services, including acute and primary care, and to conduct translational, transdisciplinary, and other types of innovative research. The Division also holds with equal value its efforts in the areas of teaching, service, and scholarship. Faculty, students, and fellows pursue clinical and translational research to help solve some of today's greatest pharmacotherapeutic challenges. Areas of research excellence include infectious diseases and cancer research.
