Nutrition science is the study of nutrition processes as well as the components of food, their actions, interaction, and balance in relation to health and disease. This major will provide you with a broad foundation in both biochemistry and epidemiology, along with experience in research methods including dietary assessment and statistics. You will be well prepared for doctoral study or entry into a career in a medical-related field. Along the way, you will have hands-on learning opportunities, such as individualized research with faculty members and laboratory experiences, as well as opportunities to present your research at a national scientific conference.
