If you will have completed your country's pre-university education (equivalent to U.S. 12th Grade) before arriving to NYU, or if any of the following apply to you, you are eligible to apply to NYU as a first-year applicant:
You are completing an internationally-recognized equivalent, such as the IB Diploma, or
You are applying from countries with school leaving qualifications based on the British educational model, and will have completed the A-level equivalent (neither O-levels nor (I)GCSE results will be sufficient for admission), or
You are currently enrolled in a foundation year program outside of the United States and have completed secondary school graduation requirements from your country as outlined in the International Qualifications Tool, or
Your highest degree earned by the time you plan to enroll at NYU is either a certificate or diploma.

TOEFL iBT - 100 and above

The undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Studies has two concentrations from which you can choose: Food Studies or Nutrition and Dietetics. The former concentration explores the American food system, the latter investigates the role of nutrition and health in society.<br>The Nutrition and Dietetics concentration focuses on the role of food, nutrition, and health in society. Integrating knowledge and research into course work, our curriculum will provide you with an understanding of basic sciences and theoretical and applied aspects of nutrition and dietetics. This degree concentration fully meets the foundation knowledge and learning outcomes in the Eligibility Requirements and Accreditation standards established by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, the accrediting agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.<br>The study of nutrition and food provides a solid academic education and practical training for a variety of career opportunities. These fields also encompass some of the most critically importantand hotly debatedissues affecting modern society, among them world hunger and problems related to safety, bioengineering, and the globalization of food. Through positions in health care, business, government service, private practice, the food and food service industries, and educational and community programs, nutrition and food professionals help individuals and the public make better-informed choices about food and nutritional health.
