Admission into the Kinesiology and Health Master of Science program is open to students who have obtained an undergraduate degree with a major program of study in health exercise and sport science kinesiology physical education or other areas in human movement sciences Students who have undergraduate degrees in other areas may be required to complete additional courses including Human Anatomy Human System Physiology Exercise Physiology and other Kinesiology and Health classes recommended by the advisor
A minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 and three letters of recommendation are required GRE scores are not required for admission or graduate assistantship consideration but can be submitted to enhance the application
The University of Wyomings institutional minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 540 76 iBT The minimum acceptable IELTS score is 6.5

Graduate students who choose our Exercise and Sport Science track are bound for a range of careers in personal health, community health, and kinesiology (e.g., cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and coaching strength and conditioning). Some continue to doctoral or advanced medical programs in exercise science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic therapy, public health, and medicine. A masters in Kinesiology is also frequently sought by individuals who want to expand their foundational knowledge within careers such as: personal training, health coaching, and athletic coaching. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the breadth within the graduate program in exercise and sport science to tailor fit their degree to their own needs and interests.<br><br>Students have three options for completing their degree to match with their professional goals. These are, completing original research as a part of a traditional thesis, writing a comprehensive paper on a specific topic related to their exercise and sport interests, or new this year, students can choose our applied Experiential Learning Opportunity (ELO) in which they apply peer-reviewed literature to a current internship or work experience case study.
