It is recommended that applicants earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The Medical College Admissions Test or the Graduate Record Examination is required.
Currently, there is no minimum score required for admission. The recommended minimum on the 2015 MCAT is a 494 composite score, the recommended minimum on the GRE is 300.
IELTS - 6.0 with 5.5 minimum in all bands
TOEFL iBT - 79
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the availability of online testing, we will accept the TOEFL at-home test as proof of English proficiency.

The UMKC School of Medicine enjoys a rich history of innovation in medical education. The Master of Science in Anesthesia (MSA) program was started in 2008 to address a shortage of anesthesia care providers in Missouri and throughout the United States. Ours was the first MSA program west of the Mississippi. Today, we are one of only 12 anesthesiologist assistant programs in the country. With 60 graduates and a 100 percent placement rate, our program produces highly skilled professionals who are an integral component of the anesthesia care team.<br>Our MSA graduates<br>- typically earn starting salaries of 90,000 to 120,000 with benefits<br>- have a 100 percent pass rate on the NCCAA certifying exam<br>- have a 100 percent job placement rate<br>- practice in some of the most vibrant urban areas of the country
