TESOL introduces you to current teaching methods, practical teaching ideas and a range of resources. It is designed for non-native speakers who want to learn more about the field of teaching and enter the English language teaching profession. No teaching experience is required. Who is the IH Sydney TESOL designed for Non-native (Upper Intermediate and above) speakers who want to enter the English language teaching profession; Those who have no teaching experience; Experienced teachers who want to further develop their communicative teaching skills through the strong focus on practical teaching; Overseas teachers with experience who want to formalize their skills to teach in Australia; Anyone interested in being paid to travel and work overseas teaching English. Learning Outcomes: The principles of effective planning and teaching; A range of practical skills for teaching English to adults; Confidence and control in the classroom; Increased language awareness and a framework for language analysis; A structure for ongoing professional development. Entry Criteria: Must be at least 18 years of age on entry to the course. Minimum English language and literacy levels. Prospective students must produce evidence of one of the following: English level test score of GeneralAcademic IELTS 5.5; PTE 43; TOEFL 65; Cambridge FCE (CEFR B2) with Grade B; TOEIC 700 plus Speaking Test. Students with official English level test scores will also have to take a short telephone or in-school interview. Prospective students without an official level test score have to be assessed prior to their enrolment. This can be done on campus or onlinephone.
