Academic records must be certified or original and must be submitted in English:
Original or certified copies of academic transcripts, mark sheets, grade reports, diplomas or certificates, national standardized examination results, or other academic coursework are required. Photocopied or scanned copies are NOT acceptable as official documents.
Include a certified English translation for all documents not written in English. If you need assistance translating your documents into English, we recommend using the American Translators Association to find a certified translator.
Transcripts submitted for admission become the property of SUNY Plattsburgh and cannot be returned to you or sent to another college or university. Although applicants are not required to take the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), it is highly recommended. Our most valuable scholarships are available only to applicants who have submitted SAT or ACT results. TOEFL paper: >540

课程简介
The writing arts major is designed for students who would like to develop their talent and interest in writing and pursue careers where they can use their skill sets. A staff of dedicated and established writers and editors guide students to hone craft and techniques in creative and professional writing. The program offers a variety of introductory and advanced writing courses in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, script writing and professional writing. Writing arts at SUNY Plattsburgh includes courses in professional writing, such as grant writing, as well as numerous opportunities to learn the about the business end of writing. For example, our magazine editing courses offer a practicum in design, editing, promotion and the creation and launching of social media platforms: Saranac Review and Z-Platt. Writing arts students attend a series of literary readings and have a variety of internship opportunities. Courses abroad offer students opportunities to experience literature and writing in international settings such as London, Paris or Barcelona.
