University college transcripts are required from all postsecondary education institutions attended.
Unofficial transcripts submitted through the online application form are acceptable for review purposes during the application process however official copies of all transcripts reviewed for admission must be submitted upon acceptance matriculation no later than July 15.
Transcripts are only considered official when submitted to the MCGS Admissions Office and received directly from official academic sources ie school registrars in signed-sealed envelopes from each institution Documents uploaded attached or otherwise opened by students are always considered unofficial.
Students who speak a native language other than English must provide evidence of English proficiency A score of 100 or higher on the TOEFL iBT test or 7.0 or higher on the IELTS test is required.

The M.A. in Irish Literature and Culture is a degree offered through the English Department, and is an integral part of Boston College’s Irish Studies Program. The two-year program of study allows students to design an integrated, individualized, interdisciplinary course of study drawing from a range of fields, including literature, Irish language, history, women’s studies, American studies, fine arts, music and cultural studies. Candidates are accepted via the English department’s M.A. admissions committee and are eligible for fellowships and teaching assignments on an equal footing with English M.A. candidates.
