国际学生入学条件
To be eligible, candidates must:
Have a bachelor's degree with a specialization or a major in earth sciences (or equivalent) with an overall average of a 70 % (B).
Note: International candidates must check the admission equivalencies for the diploma they received in their country of origin.
Demonstrate a good academic performance in previous studies as shown by official transcripts, research reports, abstracts or any other documents demonstrating research skills.
Meet the funding requirements.
Note: International students must provide proof of financial support: i.e., a stipend provided by a supervisor as well as a combination of awards and/or trust funds.
Identify at least one professor who is willing to supervise your research and thesis.
We recommend that you contact potential thesis supervisors as soon as possible.
To register, you need to have been accepted by a thesis supervisor.
The supervisor's name is required at the time of application.
The choice of supervisor will determine the primary campus location of the student. It will also determine which university awards the degree.
Be sponsored into the collaborative program by a faculty member, normally the thesis supervisor, who must be appointed, cross-appointed or stand as an adjunct at one or more of the participating units.
Meet the following additional requirements:
Complete a relevant introductory course in toxicology, either:
Prior to admission to the collaborative program in chemical and environmental toxicology, or
While enrolled in the program by taking one of the two introductory courses (TOX 8156 or TOX 9104).
To be eligible for the Accelerated Stream of the Master of Science Earth Sciences Specialization in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology, candidates must:
Be in the final year of their undergraduate program in Geology at the University of Ottawa.
Have a minimum GPA of 7.5, calculated from the last 60 credits prior to beginning the Honours research project.
Have been enrolled in EVS 4009 or GEO 4010 (or equivalent) the year prior the entry to the MSc.
Have a supervisor who has agreed to supervise both their undergraduate honours thesis research and their MSc thesis research, with appropriate levels of funding. It is intended that the BSc Honours research and the MSc research be conducted on a similar topic, with the scope extended for the MSc research program.
Apply to enter the program no later than the first month of their final term in the undergraduate program.

课程简介
成立于1982年
In science, you explore, you question, you discover. You open your mind. You develop a passion for pushing back the boundaries of the unknown. Come and develop this passion with us at the University of Ottawa.
Established in 1982, the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Centre (OCGC) combines the research strengths of the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. The Centre offers graduate programs leading to the master's (MSc) and doctoral (PhD) degrees in Earth sciences.
Research facilities are shared between the two campuses. Students have access to the professors, courses and facilities at both universities, however, they must enroll at the home university of the thesis supervisor.
The Centre is one of the participating units in the collaborative program in chemical and environmental toxicology (at the master's and doctoral levels).
