Western Michigan University offers a major in biochemistry for students interested in medicine, nutrition or pharmacology. A degree in biochemistry also prepares students who might want to pursue technical or specialized sales, marketing or customer relations. As a WMU student majoring in biochemistry, you'll study chemistry, math, molecular and cellular biology, basic concepts of evolution, genetics and heredity, and microbiology.
