生物化学理学学士

生物化学课程既提供荣誉学位（为学生准备研究生或专业学校做好准备），又提供专业学位（为学生提供课程的更大灵活性）。该计划着重于掌握实验生物化学的基础，并为学生提供设备完善的实验室设施，现代实验室设备的第一手经验以及与教授的密切教学联系。生物化学专业计划是一个为期四年的计划，需要40项三学分的课程或同等学历，总共120个学分，再加上相关的实验室课程，所需的实验室课程数量取决于所选的专业。120个课程学分分为：66个核心必修课程学分，24个专业课程学分，27个免费选修学分和3个人文或社会科学选修学分。
Our programs cover a wide range of subjects, all with a focus on the components and processes that make up life. Whether it is studying biologically important molecules or entire ecosystems, our programs are designed to help students gain an understanding of one of the many fields within the life sciences and develop their own abilities to further explore subjects in these fields. Our department offers several degrees options for students; a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology, and Minors in both Biochemistry and Biology. The B.Sc. and B.A. degrees in Biology offer two concentrations, a health science concentration and a biodiversity and ecology concentration. Two B.Sc. Biochemistry programs are offered, an honours and a major program. Both programs provide the student with a strong grounding in biology, biochemistry and chemistry. The honours program, in addition, provides the student with the opportunity to complete their own research project. Students graduating with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry are well prepared to enter graduate studies (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) or professional schools (e.g. medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy or veterinary medicine).
