Biochemistry explores the chemistry of living organisms and the molecular basis for change occurring in living cells, providing the basis for practical advances in areas as diverse as medicine, agriculture, veterinary medicine, and forensics. The Honors Biochemistry degree is a structured program that includes a directed research project in the senior year. You can access unique opportunities like our research abroad course and Certificate in Biomedical Research to further develop your research skills and gain experience that will take your education in new directions.<br><br>The Bachelor of Science with Honors is a degree program designed for students to reach in-depth training in a specific subject area and are drawn to scientific research. A research thesis project is embedded in each program and students must maintain higher academic standards than those in a BSc Major degree. Students have the option to add a minor from the Faculty of Arts, Native Studies, Business or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, however doing so will reduce the amount of option courses.
