Official Transcripts -
First-time freshmen Provide high school high school transcripts must be in English and indicate proof of graduation Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Any transcript from a college or university outside of the USA will require a course-by-course analysis.
All Transfers - Provide high school high school transcripts must be in English and indicate proof of graduation if transferring with less than 60 total college or university units Must have an overall GPA of 2.4 or higher.

First-time freshmen must submit ONE of the following -
TOEFL - Score of 61 iBT required Request scores to be sent to school code 4110.
IELTS Score of 5.5 required with a minimum of 5.5 in each section.
SAT with a score of 550 or higher in the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Section.
Pearson Test Examination PTE Minimum score of 43.

CSU Bakersfield offers both Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees in Biology. The B.S. in Biology carries an option for a concentration in Biotechnology.<br><br>In addition to the basic B.S. degree, Biology majors may choose to focus on Pre-Graduate School preparation, Pre-Medical/Allied Health preparation, or Clinical Science/Medical Technology.<br><br>We also offer a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Human Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Natural Sciences, for those students interested in becoming physician assistants or high school science teachers.<br><br>The CSU Bakersfield Biology curriculum emphasizes hands-on inquiry based learning. Courses offered cover a broad spectrum of biological diversity, including animal, plant, and microbiology. <br><br>Undergraduate Biology majors choose the courses that interest them most and may select an area of emphasis in either botany, zoology, cellular and molecular biology, environmental, or pre-professional biology. The field of Biology is interdisciplinary and our curriculum reflects that by integrating studies in chemistry, mathematics, computer science, and other related subjects.
