The training is provided through coursework and, for the ScM track, the completion of a thesis or thesis project. The programs require one to two years to complete. Demand for advanced expertise in Biostatistics continues to be high in both the public and private sectors, particularly in settings emphasizing research in biomedicine, biotechnology, and health data science. The Master's programs leading to either the AM or ScM in Biostatistics provide advanced training in the theory and application of statistical methods in public health, clinical medicine, and the biological sciences.
