The Department of Biology provides a strong program designed to enable students to transfer to an upper division college of their choice. Offering a wide variety of courses, the Biology Department seeks to serve those students wishing to pursue a career in the biological sciences as well as those students who simply wish to explore the field of biology. Whether designed for the science student or the non-science student, all of our laboratory courses will satisfy the science requirement for an associate degree and all Biology courses can be used for elective credit. As a service for students pursuing a career in the biological sciences, the Biology Department has developed articulation agreements with various branches of SUNY, Albany and Stony Brook for example, and many of the local private institutions.
