The undergraduate program in Biology at UNF is designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of students. Whether your interests are molecular or organismal, medical or environmental the B.S. in Biology allows you to focus your interests and goals along one of five ?tracks? or areas of concentration. Our goal is to help our students graduate with a sense of purpose and practical experience for their future endeavors. Current UNF students who want to declare a major in Biology must complete the necessary paperwork through COAS Advising. Please be aware that the Biology program uses a selective admission process to enroll majors. All students who want to declare a major in biology must complete the selective admission requirements first. Transfer students who apply to UNF and plan to declare a major in biology must demonstrate completion of the selective admission requirements on their transcripts at the time they apply or they will not be admitted to UNF. The department advises all transfer students who are interested in Biology as a major to apply under a different degree program without the selective admission requirements. Once a student is admitted to UNF they can enroll in classes to fulfill the selective admission requirements and then change their major to Biology after successfully completing these courses.
