国际学生入学条件

You are considered a freshman if you have not taken any post-secondary/college coursework. Your application should include your high school or secondary school records, including results from culminating or leaving examinations. Scores from the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) or the American College Test (ACT) will be required, along with an essay and a letter of recommendation. The university requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper version of the test, 213 on the computer-based version or a 79-80 on the internet-based version. IELTS minimum score: 6.5.

Our department is comprised of award-winning faculty members, dedicated staff and exceptional students who are committed to excellence in education and research in the life sciences. We offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs at the bachelor's, master's and Doctoral levels that prepare students for a variety of careers in biotechnology, medicine, ecology and other life science fields.<br><br>Faculty in our department are engaged in cutting-edge research, with special emphases in the areas of neuroscience, cancer biology, developmental cell biology, molecular evolution, invertebrate systematics, functional morphology, structural biology, environmental microbiology, virology, climate change biology, and biology education research. Much of this research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the Department of Defense, along with various foundations and companies. A core mission of the department is to integrate teaching, research, and community service, and to that end, we offer undergraduate and graduate students laboratory-based research opportunities, as well as industry cooperative experiences and service-learning courses.
