JABSOM subscribes to the philosophy that a physician should be broadly educated, able not only to understand and manage the physical part of the human body but also the social, cultural, and psychological components. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to obtain a broad education in the humanities and in the social and behavior sciences, in addition to satisfying the more specific basic science requirements set forth below. Each applicant must meet the minimum requirements.

You will be required to submit a minimum of two Letters of Recommendation or a school's composite letter of recommendation directly to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) Letter Service.
To be eligible, an applicant must hold or expect to hold prior to matriculation a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, or an equivalent degree from a recognized non-U.S. institution of higher education. At minimum, the applicant needs to demonstrate above average academic performance (B average, usually a 3.0 on a 1.0-4.0 scale) for undergraduate course work and for any post-baccalaureate or graduate course work.Minimum score is 6.00 for the overall band test results.Foreign applicants are required to score at least 550 (or equivalent computer test score.
