Global supply chain students learn about each aspect of a supply chain in detail and how to make each aspect work together in the best way possible. A supply chain consists of all the steps that lead to the production of goods and services, including supplier and distribution channels. Effective supply chain managers optimize all of these steps so that the right amount and the right type of goods and services are delivered to customers at the right time. Good supply chain professionals also understand how to coordinate the links of the supply chain to maintain and improve quality and customer satisfaction while keeping costs low.<br><br>Students will develop managerial-level decision-making ability through repeated problem-solving in realistic supply chain scenarios. They learn to integrate technology and data-analysis skills with supply chain frameworks and principles. Courses will also focus on developing interpersonal and customer-relationship management skills, as well as global competence and awareness.<br><br>Graduates will be prepared for managerial positions in the supply chain field, including purchasing, inventory and supplies, logistics and transportation, quality, and operations.<br><br>Supply Chain Skills<br>Students will be able to use commonly accepted frameworks and tools to analyze supply chain situations.<br>Students will be able to evaluate opportunities for process improvement, efficiency improvement, effectiveness improvement and integration<br>Students will be able to create rationale solutions for identified opportunities.<br>Students will understand inventory management principles, operations management principles, supplier management principles, TQM principles, transportation management principles, service-operation-management principles, and warehousing principles.
