To be admitted to the Master of Science in Administration program, a candidate must meet the requirements for regular admission to Graduate Studies at CMU (a baccalaureate degree from a college or university of recognized standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 or, optionally, 3.0 in the final 60 semester hours of graded coursework toward the bachelor's degree). At least 60 semester hours of undergraduate coursework must be graded. Applicants who possess an undergraduate GPA less than 2.7 may be considered for regular admission with stipulations. Those students not meeting the requirements for regular admission to the MSA program must provide a resume and a statement of purpose explaining both their undergraduate performance and their success strategy. A maximum of 6 hours taken before admission to the MSA program may be counted toward the degree.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 PBT/79 IBT.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5.

Complete the program in a way that works for you on campus, online, at one of our off-campus locations, or even a combination. Most classes are scheduled during evenings and weekends and you can take the program full-time or part-time.<br><br>The core of the MSA program about half your courses teach you the foundations of administration: organizational theory, financial analysis, strategic planning, and more.<br><br>The other half of your courses in your chosen concentration allow you to tailor the curriculum to your interests and career goals.<br><br>Prior learning credit for work, training, and life experiences count. The MSA program is customized to fit your needs and utilize your work experiences, or professional certifications you have earned and apply them toward the degree you want - saving you time and money.<br><br>Our MSA degree is for professional administrators seeking to develop a broad range of trending management and leadership skills. Offered both on campus and online to over 2,000 students each year, this degree is interdisciplinary in nature and has been in existence since 1974.<br><br>We have you in mind by offering a great deal of flexibility with a variety of concentrations from which you can choose. In this interdisciplinary program, faculty are drawn from many departments. Your time is valuable, so our program can be completed face-to-face, online, or through a hybrid format in many locations.<br><br>The administrative core (about half of the course work) prepares you for administrative positions in a variety of organizational settings. You can tailor your concentration area (the other half of the degree) to what really interests you. You'll join our MSA community of both full-time and part-time students.
