Construction Management graduates construction professionals qualified to fill a variety of rewarding design, managerial, and supervisory roles in a multi-faceted, dynamic industry. Students are prepared with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to achieve success in their chosen construction fields.The Construction Management faculty members believe students learn by doing and that their real-world experiences enhance professors? ability to teach. This is reinforced by faculty members teaching courses in their fields of construction experience and by hands-on technical and computer laboratories. Local industry support enhances the program further by providing scholarships, internships, and high starting salaries. The construction management program is an interdisciplinary baccalaureate degree program that builds upon construction methods, engineering techniques, and business courses offered in the Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology and the College of Business. The integrated curriculum provides a foundation for the capstone courses offered in the senior year and the required passage of the Associate Constructor (AC) exam. A minor is not required for the degree, but may be obtained within the College of Business.Students seeking a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management degree must achieve at least a 2.00 grade point average (GPA) in the major (all required CNMG courses), and also must pass the Associate Constructor (AC) examination. A cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or above is required for all work completed at UA Little Rock.
