The Quantitative Track is for students interested in understanding how to model risk, and to communicate about risk in a business or governmental setting. The quantitative risk management track is mathematicallyquantitatively focused. Students learn to build and analyze quantitative models of risk and develop risk management strategies, and explore the regulation of risk by government agencies. Risk management is the critical piece that enables businesses to function, leap over hurdles, and adeptly handle roadblocks. Organizations that don’t effectively predict and mitigate risks face the possibility of unrecoverable financial setbacks and, ultimately, total failure. They’re basically like skydivers without parachutes.
