With a management degree and a non-profit management option from OSU, you will obtain knowledge in topics like managing a blended workforce of paid staff and volunteers, public image, accountability and measures of success. Students in non-profit management will gain skills and knowledge about the non-profit sector that will prepare them to enter the sector as professionals or board members. In non-profit management, topics include differences between the for-profit and non-profit sectors in regard to fundraising and developments.<br><br>One of the most important skills any professional can possess is the ability to effectively manage and lead others. Every day you will be faced with a rich mixture of unique challenges that will require you to broadly understand management issues, legal and ethical problems, human resources as well as strategic or environmental pressures.<br><br>This degree develops students interpersonal skills, so they are prepared to handle a variety of organizational problems. Through the Human Resource Management Association, Sports Management Club and Net Impact Club, students meet with industry professionals, participate in competitions and connect with faculty.
