At least three recommendations are to be submitted through the online application system before the application deadline. Letters of reference with each recommendation are to be submitted for both US and international students.

Arrange to take either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the general test portion of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). These tests are administered at numerous locations throughout the United States and in many other countries. Official GMAT or GRE test results must be no older than five years from the date of application, and submitted directly from the GMAT or GRE educational testing services.

At the time of application, we require a scanned copy of the official transcripts from each postsecondary school you have attended, regardless of whether you obtained a degree.

You must submit a personal statement detailing academic, career, and personal objectives, which will be read by professors in the appropriate field.

We require a minimum internet-based TOEFL score of 100

The PhD program in information systems prepares academic scholars focused on how business technologies are designed, developed, and used to enable and empower individuals, teams, processes, organizations, and society. Doctoral students have the opportunity to work with faculty members who are experts in diverse research areas such as IT implementation, IT-enabled decision-making, IT systems design, information goods, IT and healthcare, computer-mediated collaborative work, usability, data analytics, recommendation systems, and crowdsourcing/funding. Students have the advantage of a flexible program structure that allows them to take courses within and outside the department. Several recent graduates published research in top journals before they entered the job market.
