The master’s degree program in genetic counseling requires four full-time semesters of study and summer clinical work (21 months) for students entering with a B.S. or B.A. The university minimum TOEFL score requirement is 550 (paper-based) or 80 (Internet-based). The university minimum IELTS score requirement is 6.5.

The Department of Human and Molecular Genetics at Virginia Commonwealth University is home to internationally recognized faculty members with diverse research interests.
