Have your high school transcript(s) sent electronically. Submitting documents electronically is strongly recommended but may also be mailed to Saint Louis University's Office of Admission.
Additional Application Items
Though not required for admission, the following items are strongly encouraged. Please note that all documents must be submitted electronically at this time.
Standardized Test Scores. ACT/SAT scores are not required as part of the admission process. You may choose to submit ACT/SAT scores if you wish. Learn more about SLU's test-optional policy. SLU does not accept superscores so please be sure to send your composite score and all subscores from each completed test. International students are still required to demonstrate English proficiency, which may require the submission of a standardized test score.
Secondary School Report Form. The Secondary School Report Form should be completed by your high school guidance counselor.
Professional R'sum. Please include your name, state and high school on your r'sum.
Letters of recommendation. Letters should be emailed from the recommender to admission@slu.edu, and must include your name, state and high school.
Admission Interview. An admission interview is an opportunity to speak one-on-one with your admission counselor about your specific interests and application.

Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology and Pharmacology is an interdisciplinary degree in which students gain a strong foundation in chemistry, biology and pharmacology. The degree is customizable to align with students' interests in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, or molecular biology.<br><br>Chemical biology is the application of chemistry toward solving biological problems and pharmacology is the study of the action of drug molecules. The B.S. in chemical biology and pharmacology provides excellent preparation for students seeking employment in industry (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, agriculture, etc.), as well as for those who want to continue their studies in professional school (medical, pharmacy, dental, veterinary, law, etc.) and graduate school.<br>This program places a great emphasis on undergraduate research. Students have ample opportunity to pursue research projects under the close mentorship of a full-time faculty member in the Department of Chemistry, Department of Biology and the School of Medicine's Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. Students use a variety of specialized equipment and computers in their laboratories and in their research. Students in upper-level courses enjoy small classes and personalized attention.<br>Career options in chemical biology and pharmacology include:<br><br>Education<br>Chemical research and development in industry or government laboratories<br>Pharmaceutical research and drug development<br>Biotechnology<br>Pharmacy<br>Management and administration in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and health care<br>Chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech and scientific instrumentation sales<br>This degree provides excellent preparation for medical, veterinary and pharmacy school. Other graduates continue through law school and specialize in patent law. The public health sector is also a common area to work.
