Transcripts - Required from all schools from which a degree was granted in order to enroll, unofficial transcripts are permitted for application review. Students are welcome to submit transcripts from non-degree granting schools if the graduate program's pre-requisites were a) met at a non-degree granting institution and b) the course grade and credit hours are not reflected on the degree granting school's transcript.
Recommendation Letters - Each program determines number of letters required.
Personal Statement - All biomedical graduate programs require a written personal statement. Some programs require an audio/video upload, while some offer an optional audio/video upload. Individual programs may request that you address specific prompts and you are advised to honor those requests.
Research Statement - This section is of primary importance to our dissertation and thesis programs and is meant to better understand your prior research experience. You will be asked to provide insight on the number of months of prior, full-time research you have completed, at what institution, the name of the mentor, and a brief description of the research experience. If required, you will have the opportunity to describe up to 5 unique research experiences.
Curriculum Vitae or Resume - Some programs require that a curriculum vitae or resume be uploaded.
This requirement is usually interpreted as at least a B (3.0 GPA or greater) average or standing in the upper quarter of the class or both.
The minimum total score on the TOEFL is 79-80. The minimum score on the IELTS is 6.5.

This exclusive Wake Forest physician's only program will facilitate the interaction of scientists interested in common problems and undoubtedly increase the cross-pollination of ideas between scientists in clinical departments.<br>Designed to train students at the cellular and molecular level and to integrate this basic training with clinical applications involving human disease. The MS degree program is designed to achieve the following specific goals:<br>To educate physicians who can apply sophisticated biochemical and molecular approaches to directly impact the understanding of human disease<br>To educate physicians who can develop novel molecular approaches useful in the diagnosis and/or treatment of human disease<br>To educate physicians who can move efficiently and productively between basic and clinical settings<br>To educate physicians who can act as teachers or mentors for medical students, residents, clinical fellows, graduate students and post-doctoral fellows<br>To provide a program that will promote translational research at Wake Forest University<br>To help facilitate our capacity to recruit, train and retain outstanding basic and clinical scientists in clinical departments.
