Once your application is marked complete, it will undergo our review process, which includes:

MHA applicants must have completed the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants must have earned their bachelor degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Consideration will be made for applicants meeting this 3.0 GPA over the last 60 hours taken in their undergraduate course work. In consideration of the 3.0 GPA requirement, all GPA calculations will be rounded to the nearest tenth. The online application will ask you to list in chronological order all colleges and universities attended, including the University of Utah, regardless of length of attendance. Include each college you have taken courses from, including concurrent enrollment, study abroad, correspondence courses, etc. MHA applicants must have successfully completed the following courses with a ?B? grade or higher from a regionally accredited institution, Please prepare a business resume that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates, and whether you worked part-time or full-time. Standardized test scores are used to indicate aptitude for business studies and are valid for five years. If an applicant has taken the GMAT or GRE more than once, the highest score will be considered. MHA applicants who meet specific criteria are not required to submit a standardized test score, but can choose to do so to help strengthen their application. All MHA applicants are required to submit their Statement of Purpose essay and will be given the opportunity to submit an optional essay within the application. The MHA program minimum score requirements are: TOEFL: 100, IELTS: 7.0, All applicants are required to complete an admissions interview. Applicants will be interviewed by phone, video conference, in-person or a combination of these options. Once your application is marked complete, the admissions coordinator will communicate with you regarding interview requirements and dates. A career in healthcare administration requires caring, dedicated individuals who have a passion for improving the human condition. We have found that one of the most critical components of a competitive MHA application is an indication of an individual's understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the field of healthcare administration. We assess these factors via an individual's prior exposure to the healthcare environment. As such, the MHA program strongly suggests that competitive applicants obtain at least 6 to 12 months of healthcare administration experience.
