Bachelor of Science degree in a health sciences field or a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in Kinesiology with a minimum CGPA of 2.70 B or 70 percent on the OMSAS Scale AND a minimum grade of 70 percent B in each of the following university level courses

Human Anatomy 1 semester length course 0.5 credit
Human Physiology 2 semester length courses 1.0 credit
CGPA will be calculated using entire degree Minimum required CGPA is 70 percent

Micheners online distance education course AP807 Gross Human Anatomy Physiology and AP601 Anatomy and Physiology for Health Care Professionals WILL NOT meet the Gross Human Anatomy and Gross Human Physiology prerequisites for Chiropody

IELTS - Applicants require an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with all components bands of the test being at a 6 or above Academic test format is required IELTS One Skill retake will not be considered for Admissions All scores must be achieved on a single test date.
TOEFL - Michener only accepts TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Home Edition for admissions Applicants must meet a minimum total score of 100 with a minimum of 22 each in the Writing and Speaking components All scores must be achieved on a single test date.

The Michener Institute of Education at UHN offers the only English-taught Chiropody program in Canada. We offer a rigorous curriculum in fundamental podiatric medicine, clinical practice that integrates didactic courses, hands-on practical labs, simulated clinical training as well as clinical practice right from the first year of the program. Our students have the opportunity to treat patients under the supervision of faculty (who are licensed Chiropodists) in Michener's on-site Chiropody clinic, giving each student the chance to practice and build on their patient-care skills and procedural techniques, including local anesthesia and soft tissue surgery, biomechanics, wound care and radiology. In addition to the on-site Chiropody clinic, students will have to complete specialized external clinical placements where they will gain the experience of real life practice, to complete the program.
