Our MSc Geoscience Research aims to provide you with the opportunity to acquire advanced subject knowledge, understanding and skills across a broad range of disciplines within the Geosciences, with a focus on sustainability and data science. <br><br>Throughout the programme you will be supported in the development of these skills through taught group sessions, traineeships, applied projects, and one-to-one discussions with your dissertation project supervisors.<br><br>In preparation for your dissertation, you may have the opportunity to complete a Traineeship or Collaborative Project module.<br><br>On successful completion of the programme you will be able to,<br><br>Demonstrate advanced Geoscience knowledge and develop a critical awareness of current problems (informed by debates in sustainability)<br>Critically evaluate current research and demonstrate originality in the application of knowledge<br>Evaluate methodologies and develop critiques of them<br>Develop a structured approach to the design and management of projects including consideration of ethics, grant application and project planning<br>Demonstrate a high level of scientific skills and knowledge in a UK-based or international workplace setting<br>Communicate scientific findings clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences<br>Gain advanced laboratory competencies and analytical skills appropriate to Geoscience through working in a research environment at Keele
