Our Physical Geography course focuses on the physical processes that govern the state of the natural environment. Hull's well placed for exploring geographical diversity - with areas from the North Sea coast to the North York Moors all within reach. We prioritise learning outside the classroom with core field trips - think locations such as Almeria and Tenerife, The cost of all our core field trips during your first and second years is included in your course fees. During your final year, there are further optional field trips to international destinations, such as Iceland, The range of our modules allows you to tailor your studies to your interests, We were ranked third in the UK for research impact (REF 2014). That means you'll be taught by recognised experts who combine their research with lecturing on our courses, We?ve designed our course so that you have the opportunity to develop career-ready skills such as GIS, statistics, group work and report writing. Our teaching facilities include a geographical information systems (GIS) suite, 95% of our geography graduates are in work or further study 6 months after graduation (HESA data, June 2017) and Our geography courses are accredited by the Royal Geographical Society. Practical work is at the heart of this degree. As well as studying the theory of environmental variability, you'll gain extensive hands-on training in analytical techniques in the laboratory and in the field. Our choice of modules covers everything from hydrology, to sedimentology, to environmental change.
