Our Chemistry BSc(Hons) course is structured around three subject areas: core chemistry, analytical chemistry and chemical skills, complemented with studies in biochemistry or geochemistry. You will build practical skills as you progress from learning about fundamental concepts in chemistry to the latest scientific advances. You'll discover how the subject can be used to solve issues of global importance. You'll gain hands-on experience in our specialist labs. Group projects often involve working alongside students from other subjects – helping to prepare you for real-world working environments. In your final year, you will be involved in real research projects which bring together knowledge and skills gained during your studies, and also complete a research project arising from and contributing to the research interests of our lecturers.
