A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree involves original and sustained research, mentored by an academic supervisor. Study the impact of human activity on our planet's biodiversity and discover ways to protect species. You'll explore how climate change is affecting, or might affect, populations of plants and animals. Take advantage of our proximity to local plant and wildlife sanctuaries ZEALANDIA and Otari Wilton's Bush, and of Victoria's connections with the Department of Conservation and other government agencies. Look at what conservation scientists are doing around the world and get the skills to make a contribution to the conservation effort both in New Zealand and globally.
