They may begin as medical laboratory assistants and, after completing their portfolio, apply for biomedical scientist roles. Common employment routes include specialised areas such as the Blood Transfusion Service, microbiology, immunology and clinical biochemistry, working in either NHS, governmental or private laboratories.<br>A degree in Biomedical Science can lead to lots of exciting careers in healthcare, education, research and development, the life sciences industry, medical writing, technical sales and many other fields.<br>As a graduate in the subject, you will be a data-confident communicator, with the critical thinking skills needed to thrive in modern workplaces.
