Mathematics sits within one of our smaller Departments. That means youll get to know your lecturers very well and vice versa. Youll benefit from an individual approach and tailored care and support where needed. Youll learn from research active academics, who are renowned internationally for their contributions to mathematics and mathematical physics. Three members of staff have been working on 'Strings, Supergravity and Geometry, exploring string theory and differential and algebraic geometry.<br><br>Britain has a national shortage of mathematics graduates, so once you graduate youll be highly valued and able to apply your skills to an exceptionally wide range of careers. A small selection of careers that our previous graduates have pursued are financial consultants, business analysts, engineering consultants, programmers, statisticians, credit analysts, meteorologists, environmental analysts, teachers, actuaries and many more.
