Grade 6 in Higher Level Mathematics Analysis and Approaches is required. We do not accept Higher Level Applications and Interpretations to meet the subject-specific requirement.

Our BSc in mathematics will prepare you for a career in which you can apply the knowledge and skills you have learnt. The course will enable you to enhance and develop your transferable skills in project work, group study and presentations. There's a range of specialised modules across all branches of mathematics, based upon our diverse research interests. Our academics are working on problems that span: medicine, biotechnology and food security, epidemic modelling, fluid mechanics, with applications in industry and biology, statistical machine learning algebra and number theory, mathematical finance The first year of this accredited degree gives you a flavour of the different areas of mathematics on offer. You will cover topics spanning applied mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics and probability. You will work individually and in groups to solve real-world problems using advanced theories and techniques. It helps you to decide what you enjoy and if there are areas in which you want to specialise. There are lots of opportunities to apply your knowledge in a real-world context, working together with other students and lecturers to tackle complex problems from industry and academia. We work closely with our industry partners and alumni to ensure the course is matched to employer needs.
