High school diploma with a minimum of:
50% in English 30-1 or 65% in English 30-2
50% in Math 30-1 or 60% in Math 30-2
50% in Biology 30 (recommended) or 65% in Biology 20
50% in Chemistry 30 (recommended) or 65% in Chemistry 20
You can take this year in Canada including the grade 12 year. This can be a combination of secondary and post-secondary education.
You can take this in another country, but English must be the official language of instruction. Lakeland College maintains a list of countries that satisfy English proficiency.
a grade of 60% in English Language Arts 30-1 (final blended grade including diploma or provincial exam mark) or Canadian equivalent
a grade of 65% in English Language Arts 30-2 (final blended grade including diploma or provincial exam mark) or Canadian equivalent
a grade of B or better in an O-level, GCSE, or IGCSE English Language or Literature course
a grade of B+ or better in 6 credit transferable university-level English Language and Literature course completed at a recognized English language institution
Successfully complete an English language program, with a minimum score at one of our approved partner schools.
Successfully achieve an acceptable score within the past two years on an English language evaluation test. Tests must have been taken within two years of the start date of the program.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - minimum score of 6.0 overall with at least 6.0 on each band score on the Academic test for all programs.
There is no pass or fail, instead you are rated on a 9-band scale for listening, reading, writing and speaking. A Band 6 rating is called a competent user.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - You need a minimum 78 score on the internet-based test (iBT) exam and a minimum score of 19 in each of the four tested areas.
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE-A) - Lakeland College requires a PTE Academic minimum score of 53 with no communication skill score lower than 50.
Duolingo - Our standard acceptance score is 100 overall with no sub-score below 95.

This program was formerly called Conservation and Restoration Ecology (CARE).<br>As a graduate, youll make a different for plants, soils, water and wildlife for future generations. Youll know how to renew, restore and conserve everything from grasslands to forests. and from butterflies to bison.<br>Youll learn how through science and practical field skills.<br>Youll start learning field skills from your first day. In first year, youll be introduced to the many facets of environmental science.<br>In second year youll focus on: best management practices, stewardship techniques<br>Your outdoor classrooms, field labs, are where youll practice applied skills and gather data. Youll use that data in classrooms and labs. Some examples include how to: identify critical habitat requirements for plants and animals, use environmental standards to classify wetland, water bodies, forest and grassland, assess, inventory and map disturbed and undisturbed ecosystems<br>apply restoration techniques to real rural and urban landscapes, collect field data and report per industry standards<br>As a land stewardship and conservation graduate you'll find an expanding range of your possible careers.<br>Demands for accountability and global responsibility from the public and advocacy groups have triggered job growth in government, industries and regulatory bodies.
