You will be asked to self-report academic information. If you choose to bypass this option, you will need to upload copies of your academic transcripts to the application before submitting to ensure that we have all the information we need to offer a decision.
ou will need to self-report English Proficiency. At this time, Cal State Apply will allow you to self-report the following exams: ACT, AP, CLEP, IB, IELTS, PTE, SAT ,TOEFL and/or self-reported high school English or College English Composition. We take a variety of other English proficiency exams, including Duolingo.
A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale on high school coursework/examinations

Environmental studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with concepts and tools for understanding the complex relationships between humancommunities and both natural and built environments. As reflected in the learning outcomes, the program cultivates critical analysis of complex environmental challenges at the local and global levels, strengthens students ability to communicate these effectively, and to act as informed citizens and professionals. This requires knowledge of ecological science and broad and deep understanding of human systems, all informed by careful reflection upon normative concerns and values.<br><br>Students completing this program will have demonstrated the ability to:<br><br>analyze the interrelationships among social, political, geographic, economic, and cultural aspects of environmental issues and determine the effects of power and privilege on these relationships<br>describe ecological systems<br>apply knowledge of environmental systems to practical problems<br>demonstrate a comparative understanding of social science and humanistic methods of inquiry and use these methods appropriately<br>interpret and communicate complex ideas effectively<br>engage in civic and public issues informed by normative and ethical inquiry<br>demonstrate competence in a skill that complements environmental studies knowledge.
