Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets, and diplomas from your school. Mississippi State recommends all school credentials from non-U.S. institutions be submitted through a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services member (NACES member agency, https://www.naces.org/members) for a course-by-course evaluation with grade point average calculation. MSU's preferred transcript evaluation service is TEC or MyIEE.
An official ACT score of 20 or higher, or SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).
International undergraduate students applying to Mississippi State University must demonstrate English language proficiency in order to register for academic courses. The following methods of a demonstration are approved:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum band score of 6.0.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum 525 for paper-based test, 197 for computer-based test, and 71 for Internet-based test
English portion of the ACT: minimum 19.

The forestry major is a science-based program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and consists of five concentrations: Environmental Conservation, Forest Business, Forest Management, Urban Forestry, and Wildlife Management Concentrations. All concentrations are accredited by the Society of American Foresters (SAF).<br>By combining a general education with specialized professional courses, the curriculum is designed to produce graduates who have skills in interpersonal communications, written and oral communications, and cultural understanding. Graduates of the major are qualified to become a Registered Forester in Mississippi after successfully completing an examination for this purpose with the Board of Registration for Foresters (BORF) in Mississippi. Graduates are also qualified to become Society of American Forester Certified Foresters by successfully completing an exam.
