自然资源和保护专业是关于地球资源管理、保护、利用、恢复的交叉型学科。学生的学习会涉及多学科领域，包括生物及其他自然科学、社会科学、经济学和环境学。

自然资源与保护就业前景

该专业所学领域比较广泛，因此在政府职能部门和工业企业的就业选择性也比较宽。学生可从事野生动物学家、渔业经理、林业员、公园巡管员、相关法律事务人员、自然资源经理、政府机构雇员、自然资源政策分析员、环境学律师、环境教育工作者。
