Personal statement: A personal statement is required and must accompany your application for admission. Resume: A current resume is required, should not exceed two pages and must accompany the application. Two letters of recommendation , Evaluated law school transcript. TOEFL/IELTS score: 90 on the iBT, 577 on the PBT or 6.5 on the IELTS. For applicants who do not meet minimum language requirements, please see conditional admission. Applicants must have received either a Bachelor of Laws from a foreign law school or a law degree from an accredited U.S. law school, or will have received such a degree prior to seeking admission.

The Master of Laws program begins with an orientation that introduces graduate students to DePaul's faculty, staff, library, computer and research facilities. Students who received legal training outside the United States also will participate in a special course introducing them to the Socratic teaching method, the differences between civil and common law systems, and the foundations of the U.S. legal system. You may complete an LLM program through an intensive, one-year course of full-time study.
