In addition to the admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, you must have a minimum of:
A Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws or equivalent degree in law with a first or high upper second B+
Applicants normally hold a common law or Canadian civil law degree, but applications from those whose legal education has been in another legal system will be given full consideration.
Applicants require a minimum score of 100 if submitting a TOEFL(iBT) test for the English language requirement.

Our Master of Laws degree or LL.M. Program is an advanced, thesis-based, research-intensive program which attracts students from across Canada and around the world. The degree is designed for completion within one year and during that year students work closely with excellent, dedicated professors with a diverse range of research interests. A dynamic intellectual environment is fostered by workshops, seminars, and roundtables that graduate students are encouraged to attend. The LL.M. degree is an advanced, thesis-based, research-intensive program. Our graduate student body is small yet culturally and academically diverse. Students from North America, Central America, Africa, and Asia have graduated from our LL.M. program and have found intellectually stimulating careers in teaching, research, policy, and practice.<br>Expected Duration - 1 year.
