The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering prepares students to solve technical problems through the design of devices and systems used in electric power systems, electric vehicles, wireless communication systems, smart phones, robotics and aerospace systems. Students develop problem-solving skills through work with faculty, research in state-of-the-art labs, and internship opportunities with organizations such as El Paso Electric, Texas Instruments, and NASA. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. As well as a Minor in Electrical Engineering, a Minor in Computer Engineering and a Minor in Robotics and Autonomous Systems.
