High school Transcripts. Applicants who have attained a high level of academic achievement and who completely satisfy prerequisites will be considered for admission. The minimum requirements for consideration vary by program and admission category. All applicants are required to present a Grade 12 English course for admission consideration.
International Baccalaureate Diploma, with English HL or SL.
International Baccalaureate (IB) English - The minimum requirement is a score of at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable.
IELTS - The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
TOEFL IBT - The minimum requirement is a total score of 89 with 22 on the Writing section.

One of the most distinguished engineering programs in the world, Engineering Science (EngSci) is designed for students who are looking for an intense academic challenge.<br>In your first two years, youll be immersed in engineering, math, science, computing and humanities. In your last two years, youll choose from one of eight majors for accelerated, discipline-specific learning. Our students thrive in a close-knit community of exceptional individuals, creating an enriched and unique learning environment.<br>Through discipline-specific specializations, multidisciplinary minors and certificates, and unique professional opportunities, you can customize your U of T Engineering degree to meet your own developing interests at every stage of your academic journey. Academic flexibility combined with a wide range of optional curricular and co-curricular opportunities means that you graduate equipped with the engineering competencies, professional confidence and global perspective to address complex challenges.<br>As a part of your U of T Engineering experience, you will gain a minimum of 600 hours of practical experience. This ensures that you obtain significant experience with professional responsibility before graduation. Your 600 hours may be fulfilled at any point during your degree and can include many facets, from working in industry to conducting research. Successful completion of the Professional Experience Year Co-op Program automatically satisfies this requirement.<br>Electrical and computer engineering (ECE) is the platform on which innovations in other disciplines of science and engineering, and increasingly social sciences, are built. Technological advances in all sectors of our economy depend on power, control, communication and computation. The internet of things, smart cities and personalize healthcare are just some parts of our modern world that depend on connectivity, big data collection, and advanced computing. Electrical and computer engineers help create signal processors for wireless systems, tools for medical diagnostic and imaging, and safety features for cars. They design control systems for automated manufacturing, consumer electronics for home theatres, and high-speed communication systems on Earth, beneath the seas, and in space.<br>EngSci's Electrical and Computer Engineering major is one of the program's oldest and popular majors. It prepares students with a broad foundation in diverse focus areas and rigorous training in both hardware and software disciplines.
