The department is on a mission to advance the knowledge of computer science and technology through education, research, and service for the betterment of industry, government, and society. The faculty's research has been supported by federal and state agencies and industry such as NSF, NIST, DoD, DoE, PNNL, LLNL, TxDOT, Semiconductor Research Consortium, IBM, Intel, NVidia, Google, Cisco, and Emerson.
