The Faculty of Engineering offers a uniquely designed 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree program in Software Engineering which is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). A graduate software engineer will have a broad exposure to mathematics, natural sciences, engineering sciences, engineering design, professional practice and ethics, and an awareness of societal impact of engineering. The graduate software engineer will also possess a clear understanding of the marketplace, coupled with the necessary specialized skills in programming, databases, software design and testing, quality assurance, data mining, signal and image processing, operating systems, software performance analysis, embedded systems, computer hardware, and digital communications. In their final year, the students work in teams on a capstone project that spans two semesters. Students are completely in charge of its realization, from design to production and delivery. A co-op education/internship Bachelor of Engineering degree is also available.
