PhD program: Admission to PhD candidacy is reserved for those able to present evidence of superior academic and research ability. A PhD candidate will normally hold a master's degree in engineering. Transfer to a PhD program prior to completion of a master's is allowed under some circumstances.

We require a minimum score of 90 from the internet-based TOEFL (IBT). You must also score at least 20 points each in the listening, speaking, reading and writing sections. We require a minimum score of 575 on the paper-based TOEFL. We require minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS. No individual component can have a score lower than 6.0. We will only accept results from the Academic IELTS.
