High school Transcripts. Applicants who have attained a high level of academic achievement and who completely satisfy prerequisites will be considered for admission. The minimum requirements for consideration vary by program and admission category. All applicants are required to present a Grade 12 English course for admission consideration.
International Baccalaureate Diploma, with English HL or SL.
International Baccalaureate (IB) English - The minimum requirement is a score of at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable.
IELTS - The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
TOEFL IBT - The minimum requirement is a total score of 89 with 22 on the Writing section.

One of the most distinguished engineering programs in the world, Engineering Science (EngSci) is designed for students who are looking for an intense academic challenge.<br>In your first two years, youll be immersed in engineering, math, science, computing and humanities. In your last two years, youll choose from one of eight majors for accelerated, discipline-specific learning. Academic flexibility combined with a wide range of optional curricular and co-curricular opportunities means that you graduate equipped with the engineering competencies, professional confidence and global perspective to address complex challenges.<br>As a part of your U of T Engineering experience, you will gain a minimum of 600 hours of practical experience. This ensures that you obtain significant experience with professional responsibility before graduation. Your 600 hours may be fulfilled at any point during your degree and can include many facets, from working in industry to conducting research. Successful completion of the Professional Experience Year Co-op Program automatically satisfies this requirement.<br>Biomedical systems engineering combines life sciences with engineering and physical sciences to solve fundamental biological questions and challenging healthcare problems.<br>Engineers in this interdisciplinary and exceptionally broad field work in areas as diverse as bioinstrumentation, biomaterials, biomechanics and systems biology. They design artificial organs and prosthetics, and create biomaterials for drug delivery. They use mathematical models to optimize healthcare systems, and machine learning to improve microscopy and medical imaging. EngSci's Biomedical Systems Engineering major prepares students for graduate studies and careers with an interdisciplinary curriculum in engineering and life sciences. Student learn to tackle complex problems and design challenges with a systems approach. They use chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering to gain molecule-to-organ system understanding.
