If you're motivated to solve the engineering challenges of the 21st century, our Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree program can teach you the problem-solving skills and technical knowledge expected of today's industry leaders. Having a master's degree in civil engineering improves your employment prospects and your potential wage earnings. It is commonly considered a necessary step in getting licensed as a professional engineer. A sample of the research being done by faculty and students includes: computational mechanics, sustainable design and construction, river restoration, membrane processes for environmental treatment, and precision composite structures. The MSCE requires 32 credits: 24 credits of coursework, 2 credits of graduate seminar (CE 691), and a minimum of 6 credits of thesis (CE 599). This degree is thesis-based only.
